HP ASE Exams
HP ASE (Accredited Systems Engineer) exams will be running in Perth on the 24th of March 2009. - Exam Registration

HP ASE certification replaces the old Mercury CPC (Certified Product Consultant) certification.

Two HP ASE certifications are available:
• Quality Center ASE and
• Performance Center ASE

For those test automation specialists amongst you, there is no ASE for QTP. Instead QTP and WinRunner now form part of the Quality Center ASE – this means you need to know BOTH QTP and Quality Center to achieve the certification.

For those hoping to get certified in Quality Center, you will also have to know either QTP or WinRunner.

To gain the QC ASE or PC ASE certification you need to pass:
• One core exam and
• One elective exam

For the Quality Center ASE the core exam is:
• Implementing Quality Center - Exam Guide

Then you have to choose one of the following electives:
• Test Scripting Using QTP or - Exam Guide
• Test Scripting Using WinRunner - Exam Guide

For the Performance Center ASE the core exam is:
• Scripting Using VuGen (LoadRunner) - Exam Guide

Then you have to choose one of the following electives:
• Performance Testing Using LoadRunner or - Exam Guide
• Performance Testing Using Performance Center - Exam Guide

Each exam (core or elective) is 3 hours.

Each exam and elective is available in either session so you can do your core exam in the morning and elective in the afternoon (or the other way around).
