Test Process Improvement
- Is testing costing too much or taking too long?
- Should the quality of your software be better?
- Do you know when enough testing has been done?
- Or when the quality of the system is "good enough"?
- Are you getting the information you need from the testing process to make informed management decisions with confidence?
An independent assessment of the maturity and effectiveness of existing test processes is conducted against either TMM* or a model tailored to the specific development methodology and objectives of your organisation's testing.
Short, medium and long term recommendations to improve the testing process are identified.
* Testing Maturity Model and TMM are service marks of the Illinois Institute of Technology; TMM is an international standard approach to measuring Test Process Maturity. The TMMi™ Foundation (www.tmmifoundation.org) has been set up to further establish TMM as the standard test process improvement model.
Experienced test managers guide you through a programme of process improvement using an iterative approach and overcoming the many challenges of process improvement, such as:
- Resistance to change or fear of change
- The need for development and testing to continue at the same time as changes to the process are being introduced
- Gaining support and commitment to process improvements at all levels of the organization
Periodic reviews measure progress, check compliance with the adopted process and standards, identify opportunities for further improvement and ensure that the test process continues to meet the needs of the business.
